We are TTS Research, an independent and dedicated multi-specialty research center that collaborates closely with local physicians. Located in the heart of the picturesque Texas Hill Country, just outside of San Antonio, our facility is strategically positioned to provide exceptional care. Our mission at TTS Research is to provide respiratory care to our community free of charge. Regardless of whether individuals participate in our studies, we are dedicated to ensuring accessible and high-quality respiratory care.
Founder and Director
Mary Jimenez
TTS Research was founded in 2003 by Mary Jimenez. Her goal is to bring education to people with existing health conditions and provide patients with state-of-the-art medications to help manage their medical needs.
Mary is 100% dedicated to improving the quality of life for people through medical options, regardless of their social or economic standing, or ability to afford medical care. She has dedicated over 20 years towards the successful conduction of over 120 clinical trials in Boerne Texas. Mary proudly served in the United States Army National Guard as an Army nurse. Her community involvement includes 20 years of volunteer service for Hill Country Animal League, a local SPCA. Her strongest and proudest achievements are related to her family.

DR. DAVID FUENTES
About David Fuentes
Dr. David Fuentes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987. He graduated from the University Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1991.

Dr. Fuentes additionally completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Baylor University College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital in 1996. Under the blanket of Immunology, he participated in numerous Pediatric HIV trials for both inpatient and outpatient care. He holds board certifications with the American Board of Allergy & Immunology, and the American Board of Pediatrics and remains recertified in both specialties. He is a fellow of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and a member of the San Antonio Allergy Asthma and Immunology Society.
Dr. Fuentes has devoted over 20 years to the success of over 120 clinical research trials. His primary focus includes Allergy, Asthma, Immunology, COPD, Chronic Bronchitis, Emphysema, Atopic Dermatitis, Eczema, and many other immune system-related disorders. He treats pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients for Asthma, Allergies, and Immunology.
Additional research experience includes a National Coordinator and Key Opinionator for Clinical Research Trials as of 2019.
Is certified under the Federal Wide Assurance (FWA) for the Protection of Human Subjects.

In early 2021, Dr. Fuentes served as a facilitator/Medical Director for a medical Mobil treatment unit used specifically to treat COVID 19 positive patients and prevent cross contamination from positive patients to healthy patients. The use of this Mobil clinic was especially crucial with the new variants of COVID 19 and to reach patients who were not adequately served during the pandemic.
Served as a facilitator/Medical Director for the distribution of COVID 19 vaccines for the local community during the COVID 19 pandemic.

About Dr. Ian Alexander
Dr. Ian Alexander, M.D., Investigator, is a board-certified Otolaryngologist. He specializes in diseases of the ears, nose, and throat, and balloon sinuplasty.

Dr. Alexander has conducted clinical research trials with TTS Research as of 2016. He is experienced in respiratory studies for pediatrics, adolescents, and adults and has participated in over 50 studies.
