About Us

Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country adjacent to San Antonio, TTS Research is a devoted, independent, multispecialty research facility that works in conjunction with local physicians. We are dedicated to providing study sponsors with high quality clinical research and reliable enrollment. Our qualified research staff, which includes skilled research physicians and research coordinators, has the experience necessary to recruit, randomize and retain patients across a broad array of therapeutic areas.

TTS Research has a dedicated recruitment department with a database of over 8,000 potential study participants, including a large Hispanic patient population. The local hospital is located within 3 miles of the facility and an associated physician is on-site 5-7 days per week

TTS Research has conducted numerous studies in the following therapeutic areas: hypertension, hyperlipidemia, migraine headaches, skin infections, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma in infants, pediatric asthma, adult asthma, type II diabetes, seasonal allergies, perennial allergies, reduction of atherothrombosis, and acute IV trials for both pediatrics and adults.



Our 8,400 square foot facility is designed for and dedicated to clinical research. Our site is available for routine Monday through Friday research, early morning and late evening projects, as well as overnight and/or weekend research.

Our location consists of:

  • Fully equipped lab and processing area dedicated to research
  • IATA certified study coordinators
  • CLIA approved lab
  • Contact and regulatory specialists with a turnaround time of one week or less
  • Secure, limited access to study medication
  • Refrigerated and ambient drug locked storage capabilities
  • -20oc freezer and -70oc freezer
  • On-site medical imaging (x-ray)
  • EKG
  • Spirometry equipment

TTS Research is fully HIPPA compliant and utilizes a central IRB. Our facility is handicap accessible and includes kitchen facilities, TV/DVD/VCR in the patient waiting area, movies, shows and electronics to entertain adolescents. TTS Research also has dedicated monitor workstations that are equipped with high speed Internet, copy equipment, fax machines and phones.

Mary Jimenez

TTS Research was founded in 2003 by Mary Jimenez. Her goal is to bring education to people with existing health conditions and provide them with state of the art medications to manage their medical needs. She is 100% dedicated to improving the quality of life for people through medical options, regardless of their social standing or ability to afford medical care. Mary has dedicated years towards the successful conduction of over 100 clinical trials in Boerne Texas. Mary proudly served in the United States Army National Guard as an Army nurse. Her community involvement includes 20 years of volunteer services for Hill Country Animal League, a local SPCA. Her strongest and proudest achievements are related to her family.

Dr. David Fuentes

Dr. David Fuentes

Dr. David Fuentes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987. He graduated from University Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1991 and completed his internship and residency training in Pediatrics at St. Louis University School of Medicine Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in 1994. Dr. Fuentes completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Baylor University College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital in 1996. He holds board certifications with the American Board of Allergy & Immunology, and the American Board of Pediatrics and has recertified in both specialties. He is a fellow of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and a member of the San Antonio Allergy Asthma and Immunology Society.

Dr. Fuentes has devoted 12 years towards the success of over 100 clinical research trials. His primary focus includes Allergy, Asthma, Immunology, COPD, Chronic Bronchitis, Emphysema, Atopic Dermatitis, Eczema, and many other immune system related disorders. He sees pediatrics, adolescent, and adult patients.
